AMAZING!!! Jeremy and his crew were incredible to work with from our first conversation until the job was completed. Jeremy was very thorough when taking the initial walk through of the project and provided a vision on improvements to make it more than just a simple re-side. The suggestions of squaring off the garage doors, custom Azek trim around the garage doors, removing our old barn door, and other suggestions really ended up making our house look great. When then the crew showed up they were on-time and worked diligently to remove all of our old siding, repair sheeting, wrapping while house in insulation and then finally siding. Each of the windows and doors were trimmed but custom bent trim pieces from the crew member in our garage. Every detail was not overlooked and we couldn't be more happy.

I have recommended Sensible to a few people and they regretted not going with them based on the shoddy work they received going with someone else.

Jeremy and his team of professionals did an awesome job in siding my home. I've painted the house every 5 years with Sherwin Williams paint, and it never lasted more than 5 years without chipping. Jeremy completely stripped off all the old cedar shingles and replaced that with cedar impression siding in the front, and straight siding elsewhere. The house looks very "clean / sharp" and very presentable to the street. I wasn't looking for dramatic change, just simply no ugly paint chipping! Very proud of Jeremy's team and the work they performed. Looking forward in hiring him for my next project.

Installed Brick or Stone Walkway The greatest home improvement contractor I have worked with in 20 years of homeownership. Prompt and courteous call back after information request, punctual estimate appointment, great quality work performed. I will add that the work was started an hour after we agreed on a very reasonable price and was completed the same day. I got a progress call and a follow up call from Jeremy to make sure I am happy with the work done. I felt truly pampered, the feeling usually not expected from a contractor. I am 100% satisfied customer and will use Sensible Home Products again if the need arises. Thank you Jeremy and the crew!

Ever wish you could have a new house without moving? It's possible with Sensible Home Solutions. We used SHS for new windows throughout our close to 40-year-old home, as well as new siding and gutters. Working with Jeremy to design and execute these tasks made us feel extremely confident and satisfied in choosing the company to do the work. Jeremy will do whatever he can to ensure his clients get what they want, but will also use his years of expertise to give those clients choices and ideas they might not have ever thought of. We'd certainly use Jeremy and SHS again for any future projects.

We engaged Jeremy to completely re-side our house and replace our windows. I can say with hand on heart that I have no hesitations recommending Jeremy for they types of renovations we undertook. Jeremy and his team certainly "delivered", from the perspectives of quality of product/installation and owner satisfaction. I can say without a doubt that Jeremy knows what he is talking about. We spent a lot of time working through the details of planning, materials, and execution. And Jeremy made sure to spend the time to explain to us the details of each. We compared several other potential providers and it was clear that Jeremy came out on top in terms of depth of knowledge and willingness to engage in the planning process, during which time he proffered helpful advice and suggestions. Execution of the project came in flawless. Staff were courteous and efficient in their work, cleaning up after each work day. They even impressed my Dad, who's very particular and meticulous in nature. As the staff pulled the old shake shingles, we discovered significant wood rot (this is a 1950s house). The wood slats were not only replaced, but Jeremy and team went ahead and augmented or replaced the underlying supporting structures. The window installations were flawless. Alignment is spot on and caulking and foam insulation was done professionally. The house was wrapped in Tyvek before work on the siding began. I can tell already that with this and the new windows, we'll save a lot on heating and cooling costs going forward. The siding we put up looks great. But what's even greater is the fact that Jeremy recommended we clean up old unused vents and electricals on the outside of the house. This made a huge positive impact on the visuals of the house. Nice clean lines. Jeremy also recommended we install AZEC Surrounds around the garage doors. And these look great too. Finally, Jeremy and team replaced the gutters and took the time to carefully re-install the gutter heaters once the gutters were back up. I'm very pleased with the end result, albeit I did promise Jeremy that I'll be replacing the garage doors at some point. Job well done! A+++

We were hit by a storm in July of 2021 and lost siding and we were immediately approached by some "storm chasing" companies who claimed they would do all of the work to submit an insurance claim and get us what was owed to us by CT law to cover the damage. After working with the "storm chasing" company for two months we learned that they were only focusing on our porch roof and they were not negotiating anything regarding the siding. That's when we looked on Angie's list and found Sensible Home Products. Jeremy called us back within a few hours of our inquiry and we met with him a few days later. Jeremy's enthusiasm about the potential curb appeal of our house, knowledge of siding products and reasonable pricing is what sold us. We worked out a contract and work was planned for May 2022. Throughout this time Jeremy kept us updated on when his team would be out delivering the siding and starting work. In March Jeremy called us with great news, that his team had finished a job early and would begin work on installing new windows and residing the entire house the following week. Jeremy's team was here as planned and they were extremely professional, clean and friendly. But after a week of demolition and Tyvek installation, we ran into a financial glitch and work needed to be paused. Jeremy was extremely patient as we worked with our insurance company and then mortgage company, even going to bat for us and getting us an additional $35K. He was amazing. When he realized that this was going to take longer than we expected, he had his team come out and ensure that the Tyvek was secure to withstand winds and storms. After a long, battle with our mortgage company and Jeremy's continued patience, we were able to finally get his team back to our house 5 months later. Our quirky house did not disappoint, as we found an exterior basement door that was not a standard size and Jeremy did not shy away from making it right. His team chiseled through cement and studs to make the door a standard size. After many trips to Home Depot, calls and visits from Jeremy to talk about the project, discussions with his team, our house finally had 16 band new windows, 3 new doors and all new siding. I had not been able to see out of many of our windows due to mold and broken seals and now everything worked, we could see and our house was so much warmer. We can't say enough good things about Jeremy and his patience, enthusiasm and his team. We look forward to our next project with him.

Un-freaking Believable!! I am over the moon with Sensible Home Products! Jeremy, the owner, has a hands on approach that makes you feel like you are his only client . He is brilliant. He is experienced and he is creative. He has this extensive appreciation for the little finishes and details that no other company will give you. We had siding, windows, doors, electrical, a whole new front walkway, added a new side porch, hardscape work , a window removed, windows added & installed, gutters, lighting and drainage added. Jeremy & Sensible Home Solutions basically gave us a brand new house. And they did it cleanly and neatly and worked with amazing efficiency . The quality of the workmanship is beyond anything I could have hoped for. Jeremy and Sensible have a client for life in me! I’m so grateful that this is the company I hired and you will be too! After having a major big box retailer's siding job fail in less than 15 years, along with 8 out of 18 windows that had the seals fail. My wife and I got 3 estimates from local home improvement companies. We went with sensible home products after Jeremy the owner met with us and went over all the details of the steps involved in siding our house and new window installation. And after showing us the siding samples, we decided to go with the premium choice of prodigy insulated siding. It cost us more of course ,but boy are we happy. This siding is thicker and insulated. It looks like wood planks due to grain texture and larger face. Beautiful new Harvey Tribute windows look great. We also had new gutters, stone paver walkway, new front steps with bluestone and white composite railings put in. Also new front door. But the best thing we did was going with sensible home products co. Jeremy and the crew that worked on our house were honestly better than I hoped they would be. They knew 100% what they were doing. And even did things I didn't think of, like re-routing wires on side of house that were in plastic conduit pipes into the wall cavity out of sight and made for a much cleaner job. If somebody does a lousy job for me I am not shy in letting them know. I also believe strongly in expressing my gratitude for a job that came out better than I was already expecting. Doesn't happen very often but this time was exceptional. Our ranch looks great now! Thank you Jeremy and all your men that worked on our house.

Jeremy sided my 1982 cape and garage and installed new windows. He was on time, coordinated all the details and did a great job. He uses high quality siding and has great attention to detail, the trim/flashing work was outstanding. He found some rot when he took off the old siding and he fixed it up like new before putting up the new siding. He cleaned up thoroughly and when he was done it was like a new house. He was so good that when a tree fell on the house at little later I called him for the roof repair. Of all the home contractors I have used over the years Jeremy is the best both in quality of the work he does and in his communication and coordination. He would be my first call if I ever need siding or windows.

Jeremy and his team was amazing from start to finish. We can’t express how Much we love our new siding. All our neighbors are complementing his work on our home. When We met Jeremy We really wanted to use him however he was booked solid for months and we decided to go with another company. After comparing contracts and talking to Jeremy We realized that he was genuine and he was doing way more than the other company and decided to wait for him to get to our siding job. From the moment I met Jeremy from Sensible Home Products, I knew I was going to hire his company. I had set my mind to hire the guy who did my windows about 6 years ago but decided to check out 3 contractors to compare prices. I happened to stumble upon Angi and so happy I did. It wasn’t going to be just siding to add to my house but a work of art. What sold me was the way the windows were going to look like picture frames. Jeremy showed me the actual siding that would be used. It was so much wider than what I had when I bought my house. His crew were very professional, courteous and cleaned up everyday before leaving. Jeremy was there every step. Before even starting the job, he would check in and kept informed. My beautiful house now stands out in the neighborhood. There are SEVERAL reasons to hire this company for your vinyl siding but if you walk away with only 1 thing from this review, it's this. Owner, Jeremy Groll, and his team TREAT YOUR HOME AS IF IT'S THEIR OWN. And what else could you ever possibly want in a contractor? From the attention to detail, to friendliness and courtesy, to keeping the whole property clean day in and day out, and not to mention the quality and craftmanship, we really couldn't ask for more.
But here's the deal, we did get more. Not only did we get everything mentioned above, but as you can imagine in a large project involving stripping down old cedar siding on an 80 yr old home, we found surprises. And Jeremy and his crew took these all in stride without a hiccup. There were never any shortcuts, no band-aids, no fixes that left you questioning where your hard-earned money was going, but instead, we got expert and creative solutions. To this day, I joke with Jeremy (half-seriously) that he needs to change the company name to Sensible Home Solutions, because that's what his team brings to the table. You want someone to come in and install some vinyl product for cheap, there are plenty of other contractors out there. But they won't address your real challenges and concerns with nearly the same attention and care that this company will. The last thing I'll mention, and you'll see this across several reviews, Jeremy and his team treated my whole family with the utmost respect while they were with us for this project. My kids loved coming out to see what the team was working on every day, and it was always smiles all around. Jeremy himself has become a friend of the family and we've stayed connected even with the project fully complete. While Jeremy does have a few crews, which I'm sure are all just as amazing as the crew we were fortunate enough to have work on our project, I wouldn't feel right not recognizing Eugene, Anatoly and Sergei, who worked wonders with our siding and windows. We're truly thankful that we came across Sensible Home Products (Solutions) for our home and would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for their siding, window and related needs.

Andrew and his crew came to my house and replaced the header in my garage flawlessly. They were on time, they worked as quietly as possible and they cleaned up so well, it was almost like they were never there. The craftsmanship is top-notch, and the replacement lumber is up to date with building code requirements. I am extremely impressed with this company. Fate is a funny thing. Sometimes there are tiny little signs out there that when you’re caught up in your own life, you just don’t take note of till later. Such is the case with hiring Jeremy and Sensible Home Products. After my husband passed away quite expectantly, I made a To Do list of everything he always wanted to repair on our home, but had no money to do it. Sometimes those repairs are put off when you have three kids, and day to day expenses consume your earnings. I knew that having the house sided and insulated was something my husband, Kent, would have definitely wanted to do. So with my To Do list in hand, I proceeded to start making repairs on our home. I knew nothing about siding, zero. So I went on Home Advisor and put my trust in their knowledge of expert contractors and contacted a few. Jeremy was the first to respond to my inquiry. However, I actually met with two other contractors almost within days. I think the enormity of the project and the sheer magnitude of losing my husband, deflated my excitement to get it done, and so I decided to put it off until I felt more mentally ready. A full year after, I was going through my phone, and Jeremy’s year old text popped up. It occurred to me that I had never met with him, and recalled that he had been eager to look at the house and provide his suggestions. So, I called him and set up an appointment. Funny thing about fate is, that he had remembered me too. He knew that this project was going to be a tribute of sorts to renovations and repairs that my husband had never got to do. I appreciated that he also, was thinking in those terms. Our home had the original wooden shakes on it, painted three times over. I don’t believe our home had any insulation, this was a house that was literally thrown up in the 50’s as a starter home, in a sub division. There was extensive rot throughout the structure and the windows that they were going to replace had been poorly put in by another contactor, more than a decade ago. Many years before, these windows had lost their seal, so they were a complete eyesore and did nothing to save me energy. Also on the To Do list, was new gutters and new doors. I knew that this was going to be a massive project. However, Jeremy’s team, which included the meticulous skills of Andrew and Dave, showed up every day and worked tirelessly repairing rotten wood, insulating and making sure that the house was structurally ready, before installing the siding. Knowing that the structure of the home was now sound, was comforting. So when it came time to do the aesthetic portion of the home, I put my faith in Jeremy’s color suggestions and held my breath. I consider that I have a great eye for color and texture, and love to decorate. So allowing someone else to sell me their vision of how the house could look, was a bit nerve wracking. However, when every single element; the doors, the shudders, the trim, the windows, were put all together, the result was nothing short of beautiful! This is what my husband and I had envisioned our home to look like upon our very first viewing of it with the realtor. The fact that my husband never got a chance to see it, makes the project bittersweet. However, I think that he would be beaming at the craftsmanship of the visual, and be comforted in knowing that the structure of the home was sound. A side note to this renovation…Jeremy picked out a stunning front door. It is a Craftsman 6 lite, Chestnut Mahogany with a dentil shelf. It’s the showpiece of the house. However, a week after it was installed, I noticed that the glass had developed a very fine, almost cobweb series of “scratches.” I called Jeremy and he said that it could have been a thermal fracture from the temperature change. He reassured me that he would make it right. I realize a claim at this point will take time, but I have faith that Jeremy is on it! I knew that Jeremy’s first priority was to correct this situation and was ecstatic to hear from him saying that if Home Depot didn’t rectify the issue, that he would out right, purchase me a brand new door. That is truly the mindset of a contractor who wants his customers to be 100 percent happy with the outcome of their renovations. I have faith that his diligence and commitment to excellence will deliver me a new door soon, if for one reason or another, it’s not covered by Home Depot.

Professional. Courteous. Integrity. The three words that come to mind after working with Sensible Home Products this past winter to reside my home. At the beginning of the year, my home was struck by a drunk driver. It is a blessing that neither the driver nor anyone else was killed or injured. However, the vehicle strike to the corner of the house required the replacement of all the siding, gutters and downspouts. Insurance appraisers for the driver’s and my home owner’s insurance companies came and went. I began to research building codes and siding companies. I finalized my research and set appointments with five companies. I knew what my insurance company had given me for the job so I began the meetings. Being self-employed, I understand the process of selling not only your product but also your business, a part of you. No appointment going to be a quick 5 minute look around the property and hand me a quote meeting, yet I scheduled an entire day of appointments. I had had appointments with several companies: a no show, no call and no I won’t reschedule with your company; arrive smelling of alcohol so I know the employees will be drinking on the job, on my property, no thank you; incomplete job quotes which leave room for increase beyond the budget number given, yeah no; job quotes one and one half to two times the budget number given, again no. My time is valuable and so is everyone else’s. No phone call to say you can’t keep the appointment shows you don’t value your potential customer. Arriving for an appointment smelling of alcohol is completely unprofessional. There’s no respect for the potential customer. I get that construction comes with surprises, but a built in 1 ½ - 2 times the budget number given before-hand causes me to be suspicious. Sensible Home Products was next. I believe it was Zig Ziglar who said when you do the right thing, good things come to you. It all said integrity to me. I was returning home for the appointment when the radiator hose on the car split in Cromwell, CT, 20 minutes away from my home and 45 minutes before the appointment with Sensible Home Products. I had made arrangements for the car repair and to be on time for the appointment. I began to call Jeremy from Sensible Home Products but he was already on the phone calling me. He was able to meet earlier than scheduled and was confirming I was home. Jeremy gave a brief overview of his company and asked if he could be at my house in 15 minutes. I mentioned the car problem and asked to keep the original appointment time, 45 minutes later. Jeremy switched from pitching the job to asking if I needed a tow, did I have triple A? My response was I did not have triple A. His next response was to tell me he would find his membership card and call for me. Yes, Jeremy went from selling his business to what can I do to help you? After several calls, the appointment was rescheduled for the following day. Jeremy arrived on time and prepared to look at the property and present a quote. He was very professional and straight-forward. He explained the product (Prodigy Insulated siding) the company used, why they used it and why they didn’t use anything else. He walked around the house, measured and gave me a job quote. I had made the decision to go with Sensible Home Products not after the appointment and receiving the quote but when Jeremy stopped selling his business and went out of his way to help me with my towing dilemma. Jeremy didn’t reschedule the appointment and hang up the phone; he made the decision to help without measuring it against the bottom line. After answering a few questions for my clarification, my husband & I signed the contract and mailed it out. A week later, once the insurance check cleared, we sent the deposit. Winter weather hadn’t really happened before January, so the plan was to start the job within a week of receiving the deposit check. But nature and weather patterns can cause havoc with any outside home improvement or renovation at any time of the year! Rather than ignore the customer until the weather cleared, Jeremy was on the phone keeping me informed of the new projected start date. Weather continued to cause problems, but I was never left guessing about the start time of our job. Finally, a break came in the weather and scheduling. All the colors on the quote were double checked, location of products and dumpster were communicated and, the most important detail, the project start date. The crew members for Sensible Home Products were extremely professional. They took the time to answer any questions either my husband or I asked them. Nothing, absolutely nothing, was left on the ground each day they were able to work. Yes, weather caused delays more than once. Jeremy called to keep me updated each and every time. The compliments started as soon as the windows were framed and wrapped. Everyone thought we had new windows installed. The high quality work was noticed with just that part of the house completed. The quality of the siding is visibly superior to anything else around our home. Jeremy had told me that we would notice how the siding would help maintain the heat during the winter and the air conditioning during the summer, the house was only partially sided and a major snow storm came through the state. We heat our home with a pellet stove and noticed immediately how much of a difference the siding made with heat retention. The last time we had a storm like that we had to run the pellet stove at its highest plus use our woodstove. This storm we only used the pellet stove at the midpoint setting. With the house finished, it looks brand new. Friends are driving by to look at the finished product. The compliments continue to be expressed. The house looks so good my neighbors are taking notice and sprucing up their properties.

Paying attention to the smallest details sets his projects apart from the rest. The design and execution of our make-over was a collaboration of both Jeremy's and our ideas. We found this collaboration key to the project's success, as Jeremy's vision and understanding of accretive rebuilds helped steer our decisions and ultimate outcome; we couldn't be more pleased. His team replaced our multi-level roof and siding, rebuilt our chimney and brought our dated garage into the current century, far exceeding our expectations. Due to the amazing outcome of our exterior face-lift, we plan to continue working with Sensible Home Products to replace our french doors. Un freaking believable! First question - would I hire Sensible Home Products again?? Ummm ….YES - yes!! 1000 times yes! They were neat , clean, polite, responsive, and creative with all of our needs. Jeremy, the owner himself, was hands on with every step of the way. He’s got this way about him that makes you feel like you’re his only client even though he has other projects going on. And - he is brilliant💡! He has solutions to any issue that we had and is super proactive in anything that could pop up. The quality of the work is incredibly impressive. He insists that everything is done “ the right way” so there are no corners cut. It’s quality work from basement to roof. And my side porch?? Look at the attached photos! We went from something old and basic to glorious and grand. The upgrade is well beyond our hopes. I love coming home and seeing my “ new home” as I’m deriving up the street. All thanks to Sensible and Jeremy’s vision. From the beginning to the end of the project we are so grateful for Sensible Home Products . This is the company you want to hire. after a botched siding and window job by a big box home improvement store that we had problems with after only 14 years. we got 3 estimates from local home improvement contractors. we went with sensible home products. the owner jeremy came to our house and in detail explained the steps involved in siding and window installation. he was very detailed in explaining all the work to be done including new walkway new steps window trim etc. this is obviously a big investment in our house and we wanted to hire a company we felt took pride in their reputation and work. after only a couple of days working on our house we were extremly confident in the work and skill we saw. we could see the crew working on our home were very skilled and trained right. when they got done siding our house with prodigy insulated siding and beautiful harvey tribute windows, and installing the best looking window picture frame trimwork i have seen on any house we were blown away at the transformation our house had gone through. then when the stone paver walkway and stone face steps capped with bluestone and nice white railings were done, our house looked better than i ever thought we could imagine. along with new doors and rerouting existing conduits on outside walls of house into wall cavities for a much cleaner look. we thought we had to live with those conduit pipes attached through our siding. Choosing sensible home products and jeremy the owner and his excellent crew that performed the work on our home was the best decision we made in owning 2 houses over the last 31 years. we are proud of our house now and have recieved compliments from neighbors and some people we dont even know. we would hire them again in a heartbeat thats how good and talented they are. thank you jeremy and your crew for all you did!!! sincerely joe and alane.

Jeremy and his crew were amazing. They fixed my roof which had an old outdated overhang. They jackhammered out old concrete stairs that were there for 30 years. They sided my house and were professional, prompt, courteous. I would definitely recommend them over and over.

Jeremy and his team were by far, the best we could've ever worked with for our roofing project! He had done our siding a little while back with the utmost professionalism and the quality was impeccable. It was a no-brainer for us to call him back for the roof and just as he did in the past, he and his team handled our project as if it were their own home. In the current environment with contractors being delayed due to labor shortages, supply issues, etc. he was still willing to help us out on short notice. Wow what a transformation. Sensible home products did an amazing job. In fact anytime I look at my house, I feel satisfied. There was no short cut. Everything was done as discussed in the contract. Even we decided to make some changes/ modifications to the contract and he did accommodate us. This company stand tall. During the siding job, my solar company was over charging me to remove some stuff before the siding. Sensible home product guy (Jeremy ) the owner brought in a qualified electrician to come and do the job for 30% less that what the solar company was charging. I would definitely recommend sensible home products for your siding job. Excellent job.

It was as better than I could have imagined. At the time in our life when my wife and I were dealing with major life issues Jeremy came in and simply couldn’t say no. We Could not be happier with Sensible Home Products! From start to finish Jeremy and his team were excellent to work with. Jeremy was in constant communication with us through the process, explained thoroughly everything about the products used and how the job would be done. His team arrived promptly the morning of and got straight to work installing our new roof. Jeremy was on site during the install and explained the issues they found with our previous roof and exactly how they would be fixed and addressed. The whole house was draped and kept clean of debris. By the time they finished in the evening you wouldn't have even know they were there! We were so impressed by how well they cleaned up. We LOVE the job that Jeremy did on our home last winter. We get compliments ALL the time. Jeremy had great service, great communication. Well worth the price. Our home looks fantastic! We had gotten over 20 quotes from competitors and although Jeremy's was not the lowest bid, we were satisfied that he really knew what he was talking about and he offered the highest quality on the market. He did an excellent job of explaining the process. His workers were clean, efficient, and even worked on the coldest of winter days. He also found us an incredible deal on a new front door (ours was rotting) and when there was dry rot found at the base of another window, he bent over backward to find a replacement for a great price. We Impressive!

We hired Jeremy and Sensible Home Products to reside and install all new windows in our house. He was the first to come out and give us a quote, and from the very beginning, my wife and I felt very comfortable with him. We were fairly certain that we would go with him, but had two other contractors with good reputations come out just to see what they offer. Both were more expensive, but more importantly, neither gave us the confidence that Jeremy did that the job would be done right. When it came time to start the job, Jeremy called and told us when his crew would start, when the siding and windows would be delivered, and all the other details, and that's exactly what happened. The crew was excellent, they cleaned up well, and the quality of the work was excellent. Jeremy called or came by at least once a day to check up on the progress and make sure we were happy. Now that the job is complete, our house is beautiful and will be that way for many years to come. This was our first major home project, and we couldn't be happier with Sensible Home Products.

I wish there was a grade higher than A that we could give. Jeremy from Sensible Home Products is the best and his work product is even better. If you are looking for a contractor who pours his heart and passion into every project, you must hire him. We chose him after interviewing four different companies and we immediately recognized the X factor with him; he has it. His presentation included his previous projects and they are nothing short of outstanding. Besides his work product, his reputation precedes him. After hiring him I have come to meet others who also heard about his work. All of my neighbors have commented on our house and I could not be happier. We allowed his creative talent to suggest colors and options and we are glad for it. His trim work is hands down the best in the state. No one else even compares. It's difficult to compare his prices with other companies because that would be similar to comparing a pinto to a Mercedes. He only uses top of the line siding with insulated backing, longer pieces which show less seams and have a bigger reveal. He truly uses a classy product and it shows. It was worth every penny and I have no reservations about recommending him to my friends and family. If you don't want to take my word for it, just read all the other reviews and you will see a pattern: it is a excellent company. He was also easy to work with. Many times people argue with their contractors. I had the opposite experience. We actually became friends and keep in touch with him regularly. I know you will have the same experience.

Our house looks absolutely amazing thanks to Jeremy and his company, Sensible Home Products. They turned our old outdated 1950s ranch into a work of art. From the moment we met Jeremy we instantly felt at ease and knew he was a man of integrity, with a clear vision of what our house could be transformed into. We were so confident in him that we decided to give him the green light to completely design the entire exterior of our home, which included all new siding, windows, new front doors, garage doors, custom Azek trim and all new recessed lighting. Even though we knew Jeremy had multiple jobs going on at once, he made us feel as if we were his number one priority every day for the length of the entire project. Let's start with this... our house has been transformed into a work of art. We went from a house where everything that could possibly be painted, was painted blue, to a house with amazing contrast. We changed just about everything on the exterior of the house (siding, windows, doors & garage doors), making the before and after about as dramatic as it could possibly be. So much so, that people stop and take pictures, and that's not a joke. We can't thank the owner Jeremy enough for all of his hard-work because the finished product is simply amazing.
The existing cedar shake siding was replaced with vinyl shake all around. We also went with mitered corners, which was a decision that Jeremy had encouraged. At the end of the project, we realized that he was 100% right about that. The decision about the siding color was a breeze. We had an idea about the color we wanted, and Jeremy mentioned that a brand new color was coming out soon and we should take a look before deciding. When we met with him the next day, he had already called the company and had a sample overnighted for us to see. Sure enough, this was exactly what we were looking for. We decided to replace the windows, mostly because of the inefficiency of the original single-pane windows. We went with Harvey Tribute's and we love the classic look and design. Jeremy suggested this series over other options we were considering, and again, he was right about that. Also, the custom window trim that his guys made on the job site, are really nice. Jeremy explained how they wrap the windows to create the channel for the siding, which leaves it with a really clean look. The two front doors that we picked are what make our house really stand out. We knew we wanted a craftsman style door, but were a little apprehensive about going with a bold color. Jeremy suggested that we go for it. We went with the "persimmon" red color, and it was the best decision we made for the whole project. Yes they are bold, but still tasteful to go with our colonial house. We also had his guys custom-build the door surround, which really gives it a great contrast against the "cast-iron" color siding. The garage doors, originally also blue, were replaced with white carriage style doors and custom-built azek surrounds. This was mostly Jeremy's vision, and WOW, they look ridiculously good!!! As the project was being planned, we decided to have Jeremy convert our sunroom into a more usable space. Jeremy's ideas were exactly what we had envisioned. We now have a beautiful room that has turned into a kid's playroom. Our choice to have Jeremy do the work will never be second-guessed. He made the process for us as relaxing as possible. Every time that we had a question before and during the job, I knew that if I texted or called Jeremy, I would get a quick response. During the project, our girls (2 and 5 years old) would wake up and ask when "the boys" are coming. Jeremy's crew was always on time and ready to work! When we left in the morning, our girls would have to go see "the boys" and make sure they said bye. The best part about choosing Sensible Home Products is that even though Jeremy was just a contractor that I figured would come do the job and go on his way, he has become a friend. I will say this... we had some cheaper quotes and some that were so high they were laughable. At the end of the day, we went with Jeremy because he was the most honest with what he was going to do. The other guys wanted to cut some corners and use cheaper materials, even ones that were going to cost more. We just felt comfortable knowing exactly what we were getting. I would tell everyone who is looking for siding, windows and doors to go with Sensible Home Products. It sounds a little silly, but they really did make our dream come true.

I had Jeremy's crew side my house and put in 20 double hung windows and a garden window. The work is excellent, particularly the trim work around the windows/doors and difficult areas ( like where the power comes in). The crew was polite, clean and very organized. They clean up every night and were able to work around my families schedule, they even were able to put in the windows in a single long day so as to keep the disruption to a minimum. The crew was responsive and asked several times how I preferred something before proceeding. Jeremy checks in frequently and either picks up when you call or calls back in a couple of minutes, excellent communication. I honestly couldn't believe how smooth and painless the job was. I have never had a contractor handle a job better. The house looks great and i will definitely look to Jeremy for the next job.

Short version - Sensible Home Products has done a phenomenal job on our home. We are so glad we found Jeremy and his high rating is definitely deserved. We had a roof, vinyl siding, door/window trim, a few windows, garage doors, and garage trim all completed by his team in quick order. I was very impressed with the crew's professionalism and attention to detail. The work was completed quickly and afterwards there was no debris left to pick up. In fact, the dumpster was out of the driveway 30 minutes after the job was complete. Nice touch J.

Long version - My neighborhood was hit with a freak hailstorm in Mid-May 2018. Tennis ball sized hail did a number to my house and every other house in a 2 mile radius. The very next day, the construction equivalent of ambulance chasers from all over the country converged and promised homeowners to fix it right. Big fancy trucks, matching uniforms, glossy pamphlets. Naturally suspicious of the convenience that they were selling I held off and met with local contractors and finally Jeremy (because of the high ratings). I am sure glad I waited. He laid everything out for me, showed me the quality of is work, suggested a few improvements within my budget and got right to work for us. Besides the quality of work I witnessed in pictures what really struck a chord with me was that his crew has been with him for years. It shows a lot of character in the construction business to have a crew work that many years for one general contractor. I could tell he cared about taking care of his crews and doing right by the customer. Fast forward 2 week before construction was to start and we had buyer's remorse on the color choice for the home. I still feel bad but Jeremy really went to bat for us on siding already custom made for our job and got it switched to a different color. It wasn't without some hardship so please, if you do decide on a color, stick to it. I'm not sure Jeremy could take another last minute change of that magnitude. Construction begins in early November. The construction crew shows up on time every day the weather permitted and even some days when it didn't. They had many, many windows and doors that required trimming out and, if there's one thing Jeremy takes greatest pride in, it's the trim work. There was one gentleman bending metal full time each and every day on the job and I continue to be amazed at the quality of their work. Whereas most aluminum trim is flat, they actually made several bends in the metal to give it depth and pop out more. Additionally, we ponied up for the Azek trim around the garage doors and wow! what a difference. I get compliments daily on how great the doors and trim look. As a consequence of having such a great looking house with everything so well put together I now see other homes differently. You never recognize the poor craftsmanship and cut corners until you see great craftsmanship. I thought my house looked good and that's why I bought it a few years ago. With the new siding/roof it made me realize how old and tired the house was. One last feather in Jeremy's cap is that he is a great communicator. There may not have been a day over the past month that I haven't spoken with him about the project. In comparison, my neighbor sent a large check to another contractor and has not been able to reach him for the past few weeks. In summary, the hailstorm was the worst/best thing to happen to this house and Sensible Home Products really went above and beyond in every facet of this construction project. Jeremy sat down with me to review every aspect of the project, from the type of siding and benefits of each to the small detail work around existing plugs and vents. He was patient with my every question (and there were many) and explained things in great deal. At the end of the day, my focus was not on price--although Sensible was competitive with the other vendors who gave me quotes--but on quality. At the end of the day, the project was delivered on and on budget and it made my house striking. The little things matter and every cut, trim piece, and accent speaks to the level of quality Jeremy and his people bring to their work. I could not be happier with the finished product and every one of my neighbors has complimented me on the look.

For those of you who don't have the time to read this entire review, here's the short version: excellent customer service and master craftsmen with a strong eye for detail. My house was transformed! Now for the detailed review. I met Jeremy (the owner) in January of this year as I was beginning my research into replacing my windows and adding siding to my 62-year-old house. I liked him from the start - and honestly was tempted to look no further, but due diligence is key for a project of this size and cost. So I met with the other big companies that are advertised on TV and was not impressed. They do not do the work themselves, they contract the work out to someone else. I did not want that. I wanted to know who was doing the work on my house. These representatives were just the sales people selling the services and not doing the actual work and providing a lesser product. No thank you! I had seen Jeremy's portfolio of work and was very impressed, his employees do the work, and after reading 26 positive reviews on Angie's List, I was certain that Jeremy was the guy for me. And he did not disappoint. His customer service is exceptional. We have all had our experiences with contractors. They don't show up on time, you cannot reach them and it's very frustrating. You call Jeremy, he answers. You text, he calls you right away. He checked in every day of my project. The windows and siding were delivered on time. We thought we'd have an issue with the delivery as I have a very narrow driveway and the siding was to be placed on my lawn by a big machine which barely fit. Jeremy was ready to grab a few men and do it by hand if necessary. No hesitation, this is what they will do. The delivery was fine in the end. The work began on time throughout the entire project. The windows were done in one day - I have 19 windows. The trim for the windows was just perfect. The attention to detail was amazing. The siding project began immediately following the windows; again, Vlad and Victor arrived on time and got so much accomplished each and every day. I was a bit freaked out when Jeremy called to tell me that the sill of the house (in the back) was destroyed by termites. However, he assured me it would be taken care of and it was, it was replaced. They see a problem, they fix it and keep going. Every detail is important. For example, the attic vent matches the color of the siding as does the frame surrounding the outside outlet and vent for my dryer. We got new gutters and downspouts and they put in a new roof on the small porch in the front. Basically, everything from the roof down is new and beautiful. The project is now complete and my home is stunning. Sensible Home Products will do all my future projects. They put pride in their work and their work is perfection.
